Abstract

The analysis of the frequency and character of clinical manifestations of herpes zoster in 287 HIV-infected pregnant women. The control group consisted of 116 pregnant women without HIV infection. It is shown that herpes zoster manifests only 1.0% of HIV-infected pregnant women, which was significantly less compared to pregnant HIV-negative (against 3,4%, Q = 0,5). Despite the fact that the clinical signs of herpes zoster occur in HIV-infected pregnant women against the background of immunodeficiency, herpes uncomplicated to moderate localized form, which may be related to anti-retroviral drugs.
